Hey guys, I'm kind of just looking for a little info. I know the older GSR rims are the "Fat Fives" or "hammerheads." And the new ones are call swirlies and I know the differeneces in the way each look. Well, while looking around the area here, my friend say he could get some fat fives from a friend about 150 miles north of here for pretty cheap. Then he called me and told me they weren't fat fives but they were a four spoked rim that came on 95-96 GSR's. Anyone have any idea what these are, or any pictures?
there are no 4 spoke rims. 94-96 gsr rims are the 5 spoke or "fat fives". 97 gsr rims were a mesh like thing which are on GS's and LS's. 98+ came with the swirlies or sawblades or blades. i think that 95 and 96 came with optional SE rims too.
there is a 6 spoke gsr wheel that isn't seen too much. not fat fives, not blades, not a mesh wheel, but a 6 spoke. also 15x6. i see them every now and then. some people on this forum are ridin on them.
94-95 are Fat Fives (GS-R and LS Special)
96 had 6 spokes with a plastic center cap to cover the lugs (PICTURED HERE), I think this is what your friend is talking about

97 had the mesh that was used on the LS/GS in 98-00.
98-01 are the swirlies

And SE's came with GS-R wheels, therefore, those are also GS-R wheels. I have those wheels on my 96 GS-R, stock.

for "turtles", everyone likes the swirlies. Need to see something a little different every now and then.

There is an extremely ugly wheel that were on some GS-R's, maybe earlier Canadian DC2's? If any of you has the Haynes 94-98 Integra/96-98 Civic manual (yes it is good for some things) it's on the red Integra on the back cover. NASTY!
The only way I can describe it is some sort of 3 or maybe 4 split-spoke hammerfang looking thingamabob
But yeah it's ugly as hell.
*edit*
here it is, FUGLY!
