Default Accord Newbie

What up people here on Honda Tech. Well I am a newbie to the honda world as already stated, having been a J-body man for so long. I am looking in to purchasing a 93 Honda Accord. I wanted to know what is the best suspension setup for dropping it.I know it comes down to how much comfort you willing to scarfice. I just don't wanna be bounce around. Another things is proformance. I have been pointed toward the H22A engine. But was wondering what can i just do to a stock motor to get some kick. Also i would want to know if i could run dual exhaust. I would appreciate any input i can get. Thanx and hope to be welcome in your community.

Get a set of adjustable struts so you can adjust from soft to firm and find which setting you like best. I suggest Koni yellows or KYB AGX. As for springs, anything from Neuspeed, H&R, and Eibach will ride very well.

The H22A is the best and most common engine swapped into the accords. But if you feel like keeping the stock F22A engine, a turbo kit is probably the only thing that will give you a noticeable power boost (besides nitrous). Intake/Header/Exhaust on hondas dont make too much power, as they mainly shift the horsepower and torque curves.

A dual exhaust is pretty much useless on a 4-cylinder (unless you're putting a lot of power to the ground), as you will lose a lot of low end power.

Also, use the search button at the top of the page, and you'll have thousands upon thousands of answers at your fingertips.

Welcome to honda-tech.

If you want a good suspension go towards what pyro said. Get some Koni Yellows, KYB AGX's, or some Tokico Illuminas and some good springs. Preferably H&R or get some Eibach's. You can also get Coilovers too but id only recommend Ground Control for some aftermarket shocks or u can get a whole setup.

As for power, look into a turbo DSM manifold(eclipse), Ive heard that with lil modification u can bolt them onto the stock engine. From there u can build yourself a homemade turbo kit. Just about everything else is on this site.
