Default How much HP to expect?

I'm going to be installing some new goodies in the car soon and then taking the car to a dyno for the very first time for some tuning. What type of numbers (range) should I expect from the following set-up tuned with a VAFC? (read: did the tuner do a decent job?)

TODA spec a cams
TODA cam gears
TODA valve springs
J's Racing Intake
Spoon 4-2-1 header
Carsound cat
Fujitsubo RM-01A exhaust

The Spec A cams are know to provide strong peak power, however the Spoon 4-2-1 isn't the best for a high rpm powerband. You should be looking in the high 180's to low 190's, but it'll be a peaky power curve, lacking in the midrange...or at least that's what my opinion is.

Thanks for the feedback. Would the TODA header be a better match? (I'm assuming that it would be). I'll be sure to post up the plots when I'm all done.

Just remember that tossing parts at a car will not necessarily net you what you are looking for, everything must work in harmony from the intake to the exhaust, and everything in between. I am of the opinion that the Toda header would be a much better addition to the equation instead of the sp00n 4-2-1 header.

I understand the "why not" but if he's going through all the trouble anyway with the springs and hopefully retainers, then really why not B's which provide a stronger midrange? We see that he is into autocross and if the A's are peaky in Austin's opinion then why not the B's for a stronger mid and maybe not as developed or maximized top end?

Personally I'd go B's but I know next to zilch in comparison to many other than having driven a car equipped as such.

This I don't understand or agree with.

The car I mentioned that I drove equipped as such was with a Spoon header. But, soon after it was equipped next with a Toda header and you could feel a loss (not drastic but noticable). I don't have the dyno numbers or charts but it actually made higher peak numbers when equipped with the Spoon header, the Mid wasn't as fat. BUT and a bit BUT, it was retuned with the Toda header Specifically for autocross applications by J's racing. Could it be tuned differently for each header? Sure, but with a standard reprogrammed Kenji ECU it put down better power with the Spoon header.

Maybe I'm rambling and maybe I'm making no sense.

Sorry if I confused anything or anyone.

I still don't like the B's unless you have enough compression...I sold the B's off and I'm making better power now on stock cams...

Here's the same car, one is with B's, PowerFC, 440's and a Comptech exhaust the other has Mugen headgasket, 290's, HyTech exhaust, and Hondata

Both have:
HyTech header
Test pipe
Comptech Icebox
cam gears
lots of tuning

This I understand... everything I have ever done to the car has been in the name of harmony and balance.

I don't know much when it comes to internals either - I'm trying to learn and understand, so I appreciate all of the insight. I am getting the springs as part of the package and thought I might as well use them - is that silly? Will the TODA springs gain me anything (I'm not talking HP here) when used with the spec a cams or should I just leave them out of the equation? I figured some new springs couldn't be a bad thing.

I originally chose the spec a cams becasue after research and reading this board I felt the spec b's were much more involved and required more money, time and attention than I cared to throw at them - and I'm not really out to make a high HP ITR.

I'm actually not really autocrossing much anymore - doing track days instead.
