Which steelies fit the R?
Looking to buy some steelies for the winter, but not sure which ones fit. Since we have a 5-bolt pattern, I was wondering which cars can I get stock steel wheels from that will still fit with enough brake clearance?
Check with http://www.tirerack.com They'll hook you up with winter packages that include steelies and winter tires. (although I don't recommend driving your R in the winter)

YellowDragon is right but it's way too much fun.
Plain steelies are perfect because they are heavy and allow for better traction. All you have to do is tell the tire/wheel seller what model car you have.
I saw one five lug steelie in the parking lot at kmart if anyone wants one
Seriously, keep an eye out, some places you can find them sitting in parking lots or by the side of the road. They just might fit your car.

You guys ski/board? Sweet! Let me know if you want to go...I'm all about boarding in the winter (that's one major plus to moving out here, since there's no slopes in Ohio)!

um... now that I think about the heavy wheels for better traction, maybe the Rotas for Winter is not a good idea..
but.... I ordered them already.. hm.......what to do..
maybe I should put a 'Fuggin Polls' for it...
Steelies.. where can I put them... hm....I got no space in my garage...

heavier wheels are not better for traction. I think it's probably pretty irrelevant. Yos, you might want to put winter tires on the stock wheels though, since narrower is better in the snow...and use the rotas for summers, since they're wider (and will look schweet

why don't you get some crv steelies I think those look pretty cool. I believe Jeff Sloan on this board has them and has some pics. And you want skinnier tires for winter.
I've driven the R with the same Pilot alpins on the stock wheels vs the steelies and the steelies are much better on snow and slush. The added weight allows for the sipes in the tires to do a better job at gripping. I got the wheels for $20/ without tire installation and balancing.
d00d! Where did you get your wheels??? That's an awesome price and they look cool to boot! I've been running on $120 aluminum 15x7 wheels for the past 4 winters, and they're still dirty from last year...
Can you explain why an ITR shouldn't be driven in the winter. I guess I shouldn't be driving my GS-R in the winter either, right?
Go to Superior Tire. I doubt it's that cheap now but they average $25-40/
I recently painted them flat black and now the wheels look better. I'll post pics when I mount them.

Sorry to resurrect this topic, but with the black Accord steelies that fit the ITR, will they fit Spoon Calipers???
BTW, they are $46.00 a piece at Majestic Honda.
