Default problem with b18b swap replacement

Hi.

I swaped in a 98 b18b engine into my 94 integra over the weekend and I still can't get it to run right. If anyone can help that'll be great.

Problem
-As soon as I step on the gas and let go the rpm drops really low, almost killing the car.
-When I shift, or attemp to drive the car it seems weak and bogs.

My rpm idles around 1k and when it bogs, drops to around .25 or so.
I used my old obd I engine harness and swaped over the dist. and injectors.
The 98 engine didn't come with a throttle body so I hade to reuse my old one.

-The only thing I didn't connect and decided to plug up is the thingy on the bottom of the throttle body and one of the coolent hose on the side of the head, because I couldn't figure out where it was suppose to be. The place where it's suppose to be isn't there on the obd II engine.

Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

combination of a few problems.... first of all is there an engine check light on? if so.... check code.... second of all, try ignition. make sure plugs, wires, and your old dist. is still in good working order.

There isn't any check engine light, dist. is new, plugs came off the old ls.
I'm thinking it might be a vac leak, or one of the hoses I didn't connect.

it sounds like a vaccum leak. check them again. if you dont know where to plug them, cap them off and see if it fixes the problem

Im thinking that its a vaccum problem. If its not vaccum then there is a fuel problem. I doubt it would be mechanical becuase there should be a cel for that. check your fuel regulator source and retrace all your rubber hose lines...there might be a little hole somewhere in there!

'94-'95 ECUs are OBDI.

I was thinking about that, but from what people have told me, as long as you swap out the dist, injectors and use the stock odbI wiring harness there shouldn't be a prob.

Anymore ideas would be great.

I just had the same replacement done on my 94 teg RS....I put in a 98 b18b, but my friends shop in the 98 b18b with my complete old intake manifold (injectors and throttle body, etc.), 94 distributor, and 94 valve cover. This way all the vacuum hoses and what not lined up perfect. And I'm running my 94 obd-I ecu just fine. Your problem might be a couple things, here's a couple questions.

1. How long did the car sit without running and did you have a full tank of gas?

explanation: when you have a car sit for any long period of time without starting you should top of the gas tank so as to minimize water condensation. That said even with my gas tank topped off, when I first started my car with the b18b after 4 months of never being turned on cause the blown motor....it stuttered and hesitated and even died once............I was about to panic.......but then pulled it together ........realizing I probably had water in my gas from the condensation, so I went to my local autozone and myself a bottle of Drygas, then I poured the entire bottle in, topped off my gas tank just a bit, and drove my car as much as I could till I had the tank on E....then I refilled the tank with good gas and added a fuel injector cleaner and NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM AGAIN.......DRYGAS......a $2.00 fix

Just thought I should mention that I fixed my car's problem. It turned out my timing belt was 1 tooth off. Fixed it and no probs... Thanks for the suggestions.
