Default Head vs. Head - USDM & JDM

Are the heads the same? Just the heads themselves, no valvetrain or anything... I have the JDM engine in my car now and im going to rebuild my top end and i have a USDM H22 laying around and it would be much easier to just take off that head instead of my car sitting for a week while it was at the machine shop, but i just want to know so i can just swap the heads when everything is said and done.
