they dont seem to be wearing down that bad, maybe its because i dont drive it hard all the time. but i hear that they last for only like 30,000 miles.

Hey guys, i dont mean to hijack, but instead of creating a whole new tire thread, i decided the post it here.
I need tires, the re92's need to go...to hell. Im looking for the best balance of dry and wet traction (dont care about snow because we dont get any here), grip, and life. Now currently, im deciding between the Falken 451's, Ziex 512s or Potenza Re750's. My bro has a set of the 750's on his car, he he loves the wet/dry traction that they give, but he doesnt drive much so im not too sure on how they wear. Any imput is greatly appreciated and sorry again for jacking the thread. Thanks.

i suggest you stay away from the all season tires, if snow isn't an issue. Summer tires are better in wet and dry than all seasons, it's just that the all season compound holds up better in colder weather.
with that in mind, the best balance on wet/dry and treadlife will probably be the Goodyear F1-GSd3. I know they are great in wet and dry, and their treadrating (yeah doesn't mean alot) is pretty high at 280. There are some guys here on these tires and they've raved about the performance, i'm just not sure if anyone's logged enough miles to know how many miles they'll last. I'm guessing they'll be good for a bout 20,000 miles is a pretty decent amount for such a high perf tire.
they're also cheaper than the bridgestone s03's or the michelin pilot sports which are considered that tire's peer group.
