Track days at Pocono Raceway & Lime Rock Park
Hello All,
I just wanted to invite everyone to the open track and time trial days at Pocono and Lime Rock hosted by the Connecticut Autocross & Rally Team (C.A.R.T.). CART has been putting on track events for nearly thirty years and run a fun, safe, competitive event. They are hosting two days at Pocono Raceway this year the first is 5/14/04 on the north course and the second is 7/19/04 on the south course. They also have an event at Lime Rock Park on 6/24/04. These events consist of open track time followed by a time trial at the end of the day. CART limits the amount of entrants to 60-70 cars so that there is plenty of uncrowded track time for everyone. Novices are encourage to run and instructors are available.
CART also hosts autocrosses in CT. with fourteen events on the schedule for this year. For more info go to http://www.cartct.com or you may contact me. Come out and have some fun.

I haven't been to the Glen in years. The last time I was there I was instructing for the Porsche club. I really do need to make some time and get up there again soon. Enjoy your day up there it's a great track.
Mike D,
Typically people get 125-150 miles of track time. Remember we only take 60-70 cars to ensure everyone gets plenty of seat time. We want everybody to have fun and track time seems to do the trick.

You do not have to be a CART member to enter our events.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thanks for the reply. I will mark the date on my calendar to see if I can make the event.

CART runs good/fun and well organized events in my experience. Although I have never done a DE with them yet, I did have good experiences with them for autocross and the Tri-State competition.
1GreyTeg,
Thanks for the nice comments about C.A.R.T. events. If you haven't tried a DE with us it's about time you did. Apart from all the great track time you'll get we have arranged for a group rate (just memtion your with CART) at the Blakeslee Inn for our Pocono dates. If you can come down the night before your welcome to join us for drinks and dinner and all the B.S. that will be flowing about how fast everybody's going to be at the track the next day. Then after the event and the awards many of us have dinner and try to explain why we weren't quite as fast as we thought we'd be the night before (hint: always blame it on the equipment never the driver).

JunItegra,
You can go to http://www.cartct.com and print the registration info and mail it in or you can register on-line and pay with paypal. The site will have info on all the events and discounts for people who sign up for more than one event. If you have any questions after you've looked at the site just drop me an email. Look forward to seeing you at an event.
