60581 is a 4-point race roll bar, not a cage...

It looks just about like any other Autopower bar, IIRC

Here is a 60060 for reference:

Hope it helps,

Jon

^ What he said. They all look pretty much the same.

Looking at the pic Jon posted, there a few things to note...
1. The bar has the horizontal brace in the main hoop (see where shoulder harneses attach).
2. It also have the diagonal brace inside the hoop.
3. The padded horizontal bar above the harness bar is for attaching a headrest if you use a low-back bucket. In most modern cars, it is not needed, so just pad it and ignore it.

I've always wondered what that part was for.

Isn't that bar a harness guide bar? Running the Harness over it helping to provide a better angle for the harness over your shoulders?

Otherwise, would be kind of wierd for AP to be wasting metal in cars they have to know wouldn't be running that format.

A better angle? Wtf?

Look at the bar and its relation in height to the seat....

Yup. Harness bar is straight back behind the shoulder area, possibly below on taller people. IF that upper bar is to route the harness to a higher angle, it gets the harness above the shoulder and out of a possible spinal restriction area. Just like mounting it on a bar is key vs mounting it behind on the floor.

Its just a thought btw, like I said, would be sort of wierd for a company to waste materials on a piece that (if used for a headrest) would be outdated and/or rarely used.
