93 LS = Wont start! whats wrong...
a friend of mine bought a 93 integra ls not so long ago. 165k, 5 speed, seems like in good condition. about 3 or 4 weeks ago she got it "tuned up" cap, rotor, plugs, wires, **** like that.
today on the freeway she said it felt really slow and it kept wanted to die.
tonight, the car wouldnt start. it turns over for ever, but wont start.
so heres what ive checked..
* all fuses are good
* fuel pump is turning on (pssh sound when u pop the gas cap, so its building pressure)
* plugs are in the correct order
* no check engine light
* battery and starter are good
i pulled a plug wire, stuck a screw driver into it and held it near some metal and cranked the car, nothing happened. no spart or arching. im thining somthings wrong in the distributor. ignitor maybe?
what are your ideas? do i need to check anything else? did i forget somthing?

I had this problem one time b4. Take your distributor cap off (be careful when you do this). turn the cap to where the inside of the cap is facing you and look to see if the screw to the rotor button has fallen out. If so put it back on , but when you do put a small amount of locktight on it. That solved my problem. Hope this helps.
if that doesn't work then it is most likely your coil or ignitor. mine went out a month ago and ended up replacing both. $200 for oem parts but atleast it'll last another 12 years.
I agree with Maverick. Check resistance through your coil and if it has a short then replace it, if not it is more than likely the ignitor. I couldn't even remember how many times I have had to replace mine on my 90. It is to the point that as soon as it starts to act up with low power and and then totally dies on me, I know exactly what it is.
luckily mine died in my parking lot. should have known it was going because every so often my alarm would just go off on its own. after replacing both pieces the alarm hasn't gone beserk at all.
