does any one know what pistons i can use on a h22a block without sleaving it?
and can i use stock rods or should i buy rods too?

pistons will not make so much power. make sure you do not go to high im running a little over 12 and i have to run race fuel. my car will start stutering with pump gas... so be careful. youll get like 10 whp.
from what I've read, 11.5 is about the top end of 'streetable' pistons. Anything beyond that takes some tuning to work with pump gas. As far as sleeves go, it depends on your pistons. If you're getting forged (which you should, their lighter, better made) then you'll pretty much have to sleeve the block. There was a thread all about NA somewhere here...searching...

I would take what "what the.." said pretty seriously. 11.5:1 seems like the max with some very goodtuning for pump gas.
Without sleeving, you may be the one lucky guy in a hundred who can coat forged pistons and get away with it.... but otherwise, only cast type-s seem to not shred and bond with the FRM.
SLEEVING, as in Sleeves of a shirt, coat etc.. What is sleaving?
the stock rods are pretty robust... and are also forged, I believe. So they will not be the weakest link.
Good luck, and do some searches, it will help you in your decision-making.

also, a big factor in what parts you buy and where you start have to do with what your goal is. It seems that your goal is a high compression, street engine. I would save for sleeves and pistons, and get your valves done. then maybe do some head work. After this, get a V-AFC tune and make sure you're not lean anywhere. Then you can go with cams (if you want, but I've seen lots of people run stock cams and roll out nice numbers) and then any bolt ons will really add improvement. g/l with your build!
im running 11.5:1 pistons....and i just run top grade premium or super premium gas, and it runs fine....when i bought the car, the guy told me to run hi grade gas.....and also, i mean i have a h23 w/those pistons, pulleys, intake, exhaust.....what kinda tuning can i do? vafc? what good will it do?
