obd-2 ls-vtec tech help
Background:
97 ls integra. b18b bottom end w stock bore pr3 pistons, acl bearings, arp rod bolts, arp head studs, pr3 b16a head and intake manifold, obd-2 gsr distrib, stock obd-2 ls: injectors, map, tps (adjusted to .40 closed 4.54 WOT). Stock ls tb, header, gsr tranny. Compression test good.
Problem:
Using either an obd-2 ITR ecu or a harness and a obd-1 p30 ecu the car runs like ****. Has no low end or no top end, idles shitty, seems to run rich. With the stock ls ecu it runs very strong low end and mid range (till rev hits LOL). With the ls ecu I get a code 54 for the sensor on the oil pump which has been removed since it is running a dohc vtec oil pump. With the itr ecu and the p30 ecu it has a knock sensor code. No other codes or problems whatsoever.
any thoughts on what the problem could be?? I am gonna change the plugs because I'm not sure the right ones are in it but after that I am stumped.

The TPS sensor should be .500 volts closed and 4.500 volts at WOT. Also the crank angle sensor which is located on the oil pump in OBD-2 cars is needed. Im pretty sure it picks up misfires. Also did you wire up the vtec solenoid and oil pressure switch right? There are so many things that could be wrong it would be hard to diagnose the problem without actually looking at the setup in person.
if I use the the itr or the obd-1 ecu's they do not throw a code 54 for the sensor on the oil pump. The ls ecu does, meaning the ls ecu reads it and the others do not. Yes the vtec wiring is all hooked up correctly and if it isn't you will get codes for it. Injector wiring is double checked from ecu to injectors and is correct. The distrib plugs in the stock plugs and evreywire matches the stock ls one. Sorry but there is no way to adjust the tps for idle and wot. I know the tps is optimal at 4.5 wot and if you adjust it for that you will get the setting at idle that it is at and it is correct. You can look over the car over and over again like I have and it won't show anything because it is all correct. I have been checking things for a week str-8 and I have been doing this for a long time. I know the oil pump sensor has nothing to do with it because one the itr ecu doesn't throw a code and the p30, which does not run that sensor, runs exactly the same as the itr ecu. As far as anything else....timing is at 18 degrees, valve lash ahs been done and triple checked, timing belt tdc timing triple checked and all lined up.
Let me rephrase ls ecu = strong *** ls like motor
itr or p30 ecu (only code is knock)= shitty running gutless motor from idle to redline

wow!!!!
thats really asking for detonation.....
piece of advice
do not use stock ecu on a ls/vtec
they need a different fuel map..
so get a tunneable ecu or piggy back system..
and have a pro tune it for you...

because of the diffrent stroke or what?? I have seen many fast lsvtecs running p30 ecu and I know alot of base hondata maps for the ls/vtec are off the p30 maps.
