i just finished my swap and went for a drive.... the car seems like something is holding it back(not fast....) even when im not in gear at all. and i try to rev it the rpm doesnt go up like normal.. it's slow as hell...... please help.. oh yeah...i'll drive and bring it to 5krpm....1st gear-4th gear. and ill be at 40 mph... and my vtec kicks in at 5500-6000rpm..

 

maybe your ecu is bad. my friend had a bad ecu and his **** would run funny, then he bought another ecu and it ran perfect,im just throwing some suggestions so dont count on my word. borrow a friends ecu if he has the same motor and see if it runs differently

I'd check the TB and the cable.

Make sure you don't have anything preventing you from fully opening the TB.

Pop the hood and watch the TB as someone presses the gas pedal for you.

 

Could also be a slipping clutch.

 

all i can tell you is that if you press the gas down to make the rpm go up fast it takes like 3or 4 seconds to go up instead of like 1. it just seems to be not firing right

 

Then check to see if the TB is opening all the way. On top of that, put the car in 5th gear and try to go up your driveway. If it dies, your clutch is good. If it just revs up your clutch is hose.

 

Haiden sorry had to run so fast after bleeding the lines for you. I didnt realy have time to see how the car ran. Tommorow ill come by and get the car running good for you man just need to check a couple things one being your Timing. Ill get that squared away and see how the car does after that and if i have to still make some ajustments in some other areas. Ill just give you a call and come by.

 

Also man im just glad to see the car runing on the street. Atleast next time youl know what to do when you do another swap and know what not to do. That way i wont have to come over and fix alot of your mistakes. But hey im just kidding with. You did alright man trying to do your first swap by yourself. But remember to things for me the next time you do a swap. Dont cut things becuause there not coming off very easy, and dont use duct tape and a ball point pen to lable your wiring harness.
