Ever broke a stock header ?
LOL
For the longest time... I had a nasty rattle from 2500 to 3500 rpm on accelleration or deceleration. It was the most annoying thing. I could not cruise at 70mph... it was either 60 or 80... inbetween was embarassing. Shifting at 4k was just as bad... paper bag material guys... it wasn't me !
Anyways... after 3 muffler shops... 2 in the US and 1 local... I found someone that figured out the problem. The guy said the lower portion of my GSR header had it's internal piping disconnected somehow.
The guy cut a hole in the lower portion of the header and tacked the inner pipe.... VOILA !!! No more rattle !!! I am no longer an embarassment to civics everywhere...lol

my friend had his stock header crack and the dealership couldn't find a stock exhaust manifold, so they gave him a comptech header for free.
lucky SOB, it was under warranty and completely stock.

It's quite a common problem among Integras. The inner part of the manifold gets cracked. I had that problem until I went with aftermarket headers.....then to a turbo manifold.

You seem to have a case of the Noobies, pumpkin.
It's integra related and pretty relevant to someone that may have the same problem.... but thanks for playing

Really ? I've been thru 2 tegs and know lots of others with gsr's, itrs and LS's.... never heard of this happening to the stock B header.... I assume you've broken more than one...

Correct. Acura even posted a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) regarding this problem.

I'm awaiting a DC Header to solve this.
Do you know if Acura is suppose to fix this or if it falls under warranty? Does anyone have the offical technical bulletin for the 94-01 GSR's? I would like to print this out to show the dealer so they rethink charging me $660 for a stock exahust manifold replacement.
