best 6.5 3 way speakers?
i have a crx, and a roll bar that goes into the rear speakers (which means i dont have rear speakers). i was thinking of putting 6.5 components in the front for high and mids, and a small sub in the back for lows (both powered by amps) but then i was thinking that i have a crx, small car, and that i didnt was to add weight nor take up alot of room in my car. so i want to settle with a good 6.5 3 way speaker. which is the best? or what you guys recommend?
You still are gonna require some bass. Here are some options.
JL XR653cs ( I own this )
It works.
Boston 653pro ( good system)
Dynaudio
Now you can also get a 4" comp system and add a 6.5 midbass driver to it
or een a great 4" integrated coax ( kicks) with mibass in door.
If you are willing to give up spare tire ...install a sub there.
Your on the right track....to sonic nirvana

Infinity does not make a 3 way...the model you are looking @ isBoston Acoustics. Only a few compaines make a dedicated 3 way speaker
system...but basically any component or coaxial can be converted
into one with only a few components. I have owned the Pro 653 and have
enjoyed the sound it reproduces. Now just for the record you can still get
a great sound from a 6.5" 2 way system in that car. If you are
set on getting a 3 way...look into the Q-logic kick panels for the car. Its
an cheap and easy way to get what you desire.

i have the boston acoustics 3 way components (6.43). i really love them alot, i have heard many 3 way sets and some of my favorites are the boston, dynaudio, focal and even the mb quart 3 ways sound really nice. to get a nice set of 3 way components, you will easily spend atleast $600 on up.
Peichie is so correct...you will spend upwards of $600 for them new.
There are options though...look for deals on the 4.0 or 5.0 components
or integrated co-ax speakers and add the raw 6.5 midbass driver to it.
Many websites ( BostonAcoustics,JL Audio, Kicker etc) have diagrams
on how to add a midbass driver to a system. Its worth a shot....
Have fun
