Default Am I being lied to about my automatic transmission?

Hi Gang:

I have had my 93 Accord at a transmission shop since before The Superbowl. The person at the shop claims that he can not find the problem for the harsh shifting problem. He now claims that there is a shaft that is supported on each end by brass bushings. These bushing are worn to a point where the shaft bangs against them when shifting thus the harsh shiftin. He also claims the this is taking place in the differential area next to the ring and pinion gear area .He is having a difficult time find a "match" for my ring and pinion gear as they have to be the same ratio or the transmission will be destroyed.

I have the orginal transmission in my garage that is cleaned and disassembled. I can find no ring and pinion gear let alone anything made of brass!

Is the diffedrential integral with transaxel? If so I am sure that I could see it and the ring and pinion gear.

Any comments about this problem! I think that see a pattern of disinformation coming fron this man. I am ignorant but not stupid.

TIA,

Zeke
