my civichb/b18c1 vs civichb/b18c1w/b16tranny
first race was against a 92-95 ci hb si with rebuilt head and low compression pistons and an eclipse turbo w/8psi i kill him from a stop but we downshifted at 70 and we were side by side and he started pulling on me in 4th we shut it down at 110 and he got me by a good car length. although the 2nd race was the one i was siked about, its my friend he just got a b18c1 w/b16 tranny in his 93 cx hatch its totaly stock except intake and cut off muffler. ive been wanting to race him forever but my liscense has been suspended for the last 2 months but he took me for a ride a week ago and it felt soooo much faster than mine, like a good half sec in a 1/4ml. me and my bro were in it and we both agreed he would kick my ***. so anywho i finally got a chance to race him yesterday we weregoing to a place with a good 1/4ml road but on the way there we downshifted at 40 and we were even till about 80-85 and then i started pulling we stopped at 115 and i got him by about 2 cars. then we got to the road and stopped i launched on him and gained a half car from the start, by 50mph he had gained and was now right next to me we were the same till about 80 then i started pulling about a half car every 10mph we stopped at 95 and i had won by about 1 car length, if he had launched better it would have been about even. but i was happy i thought for sure id lose. those shorter gears make it seem so much faster, he has convinced me to get a b16 tranny. so basically we have like the same 1/4 and i dyno'd at 178.8whp 130.5tq and his dyno was 155.1whp 119.5tq both dyno'd on a mustang dyno. by the way it was the closest race ive ever been in and the funnest! close races are cool
i went to get my n2o tuned but for some reason its running way to lean. they turned up the fuel jet and the hondata but it was still running lean. they said it was to lean to dyno on a 75shot but they dyno'd it on a 55shot and i dyno'd at 235whp and 170tq
