CROWER turbo cams on non turbo motor?

Default CROWER turbo cams on non turbo motor?

i have a buddy that has let me borrow a set of crower cams but they are for a turbo application and i am NA. i have crower spring and retainer kit but im not sure if i can use them.

NA benifits from overlap of the cam lobes. Turbo cams do not have these extreme overlaps so most likely you will not benifit from them.

If they are H23a cams, sell them to me

damn it...they were pretty much free to so i better just not put them on.... and they are for h22

so they wont even make a difference huh? also i was looking on the crower web site and i guess it takes a different spring and retainer kit than i have so will they even go on...i am quite confussed.

they actually do make a difference. they arent the best for N/A, but when i was running them off boost, my car was still faster than any stock Prelude around, and i was only running 9:1 comp with a sheetmetal intake mani.......neither of which are good for N/A power, but the car still ran f*ckin fast mostly b/c of the headwork

Yeah I believe the Crower Turbo cams have increased lift like the all-motor cams, but less duration, which is bad for turbo. You could get cam gears and increase the overlap by tuning them. Probably would make more power than a stock h22 head.

that sounds great... i guess not as good as NA cams but still better than stock.
