Alright.... in reference to these threads I thought I purchased a OEM rear ITR trunk mat:

Ok... So I sent this guy:

Michael Lee
1355 Loma Ave. unit #316
Long Beach, CA 90804

a cashier's check off off my bank account (gauranteed funds) in the amount of $90. $75 for the item, and $15 for shipping.

So I prepared and shipped the Cashier's Check on 2/18/04
It was cashed by Michael Lee on 2/25/04
It also cleared my Bank on 2/27/04

If anyone would give me a Helping Hand, ... please do. I am not here to take advantage of anyone, and would hope noone else would do the same with me.

I also think most of the people vouching for him were some of his So Cal friends.

I had been saying that for the longest time, until I found out he sold the same item to one of the other guys. ANd I still gave it time to see if there was an explanation. ZERO ... No replies once he received my money, but yet, he was able to go to the bank on 2/25/04

 

Anyone???? Please help me out. Does anyone have a home phone number?

I was going to buy that rear strut bar from him, but after talking to him for a few minutes I decided I didnt want to trust him with my money. BUMP for you.

the mugen rear bar? I was trying to buy that off him too, but he said he sold it to someone on the board. I wonder if someone really bought, and if so who was it?

Yeah the Mugen bar. This was a long time ago though. He sounded pretty cocky.

You guys should give us a helping hand. Now, you know if you were scammed by someone here in my neck of the woods of Fort Wayne, I would be glad to dig some **** up for you as well.

what can we really do? I wish there was something. I'm not going to go to his house and try and do something, and end up getting shot. I feel for the victims. I was scammed by a dude in Michigan, and a couple h-t members lived right down the street from him and nothing ever happened. It's a lost cause. I know the law doesn't seem to do anything about these scammers, but it's really the only means you can employ. Put your faith in the system and hopefully things will work out for the best.

 

Lets get this up from the bottom again.

 

I was actually thinkin about buyin the rear strut bar from him too. If you have his address, just report it to the police, file a small claim against him and you're set.

Fort Wayne is a much smaller place than L.A. You probably know most of your neighbors, etc.
Here we don't just go knocking on some guy's door (parts of Long Beach can be pretty rough)
demanding something. Your parts aren't worth risking injury for most.

exactly. I'm not saying I would have for sure done something if he lived somewhere else, but when I saw he lived in Long Beach there was no way I would consider it. I know there are nice parts of Long Beach too, but I'm from Irvine (voted safest city in the US multiple times, which means I know nothing about rough parts of town) and I'm got going to parade my *** into Long Beach like I'm going to do something. Hopefully there are some brave individuals out there that can step up to the plate, sorry I can't be one of them.

 

I just happened to do a search on my Archived Threads and noticed this one. This guy really burnt me, and now wonder if he's around again, now that it's been a year since this all happened.

Anyone know anything?
