Default typer or toda racing speck cams???

I own 2/5ths of a 98 gsr (chase bank owns 3/5ths) I was recently told that my aem camgeer spun out and caused some minor damage to one of my valves,or valve sleeves. My car appears to be running fine however at idle and throughout the power band I here an infernal ticking noise... Any way I was gonna try to beef up my internals but MY doe is loe!!!. Ive heard that Toda racings A spec cams are the equivalent to the type r cams..... Any body have a recomendation as to what would be the better buy: Or best bang for the buck ...... Holla back!! please.... hfd. Thanks 4 the replies guys/chicks/aliens

Actually, the Toda spec A are more aggressive than the ITR cams, but I think that the ITR or CTR cams still offer the most performance for the cost. As for the ticking noise you should really check to see if any valves are bend or damage.

You ever think about Skunk2 or Crower cams? Both of these yield a good HP gains from drop in cams, but its advisable to replace the valve springs and retainers when putting either of these in.

There is a used set of Spec As in the classifieds section. Also a used set of Spec bs. I would personally do the Bs, but that is up to the end user. If you want a smoother idle and the ability to use the stock fuel system, get the As.
