'87 Honda Accord~Starting Q!
So! I managed to change the water pump in my friends 87 honda accord, and lemme tell ya that was fun. We put it all back together, and now it wont start, great what did I "f" up? Could it be possible that the cam belt jumped a few teeth and the timing is off? I checked for spark, yes we have spark. I would think that even if the timing is off, you would hear it try and start, maybe a backfire, but yet it doesnt...the only sound it makes is it turning over (starter). Anyone have any ideas?
Seems to have spark, gas, and compression, wondering why it wouldnt even try and start. The spark plug sparks when I pull it out and put it against the frame, and I see spark jump from the plug wire to the plug when the plug is in the hole, but I wonder if the plug itself is sparking when its inside the hole. This is very odd.....any suggestions?
