Default '87 Honda accord staring Q

So! I managed to change the water pump in my friends 87 honda accord, and lemme tell ya that was fun. We put it all back together, and now it wont start, great what did I "f" up? Could it be possible that the cam belt jumped a few teeth and the timing is off? I checked for spark, yes we have spark. I would think that even if the timing is off, you would hear it try and start, maybe a backfire, but yet it doesnt...the only sound it makes is it turning over (starter). Anyone have any ideas?

Your Honda stares at you?

Yeah, common sense says your timing is fucked. If the car ran fine before you messed with the timing belt, then something is off. Turn cranck to TDC and see what your cam gears are at.

LoL, yeah all it did was stare at me wanting to be fixed. It was the timing, I reset it and it started up and purred like a kitten. Thanks for the reply on that, ricerburner, I figured it was the timing, I was just looking for ways out of taking it all back apart again. My friend was wondering what some easy upgrades for his car would be, its an '88 honda accord, anyone have some info??!

Thanks,

Dustin
