Ls/vtec connecting rod torque: LS or GSR spec?
What torque spec should I use for the connecting rod torque. LS calls for 31 ft/lbs and the GSR was at least 10 ft/lbs higher due to high rpms i was assuming. I guess i should use GSR spec? What do you guys think?
Actually b18b rods are 23 lb-ft and b18c1 is 33 lb-ft and is not because of rpms, but because the b18c rod studs/nuts are bigger; 8mm vs. 9mm.
So if you are using ls rods then you torque to ls specs
