So I've got a 1990 Barbados Yellow Si with a blown motor thats been sitting around for a while now and I think I want to start working on it. Not sure what motor I am going to go with yet. The body is OK, its gonna need some fiberglass and/or bondo work and I'm going to prep it for paint eventually. I'll pull the motor out to prep the engine bay as well. It has a full Si interior minus door panels and dashboard. Lately it seems that alot of the Ef guys are swapping 94-01 Integra center consoles into their hatches and I am growing fond of the look. Obviously this can't really be done easily with an 88-91 CRX dash so I am wondering if I should just buy a EF dash from a junkyard and put that into my rex along with a teg center console. Has anyone done this? From what I hear the CRX and EF civic dashboards are interchangeable so the civic dash and teg center console in my rex should work, yes? If anyone has done this any info and/or pics would be appreciated. Let me know what you guys think...

 

You could do the teg dash. You yourself answered your own question kind of. The hatch and CRX dash are interchangable so the same basic mods would have to be done to get the teg dash into your CRX. RIGHT?

I think the CRX dash with the CRX console would look a lot nicer than the hatch dash and teg console. The teg console is a make-shift similar add-on into hatches what the CRX has. The CRX one is nicer IMO because it actually angles towards the driver.

I do agree with you guys that the rex dash is better its just that this is more something to do since I needed a new dash anyway, something different. I already have a 90 DX with a gorgeous black dash which I am very happy with...
