What is your max timing? Hpw much boost and what CR, af ratio, etc etc.....

When my piston gave out i was running aroudn 17 degrees on 8.8:1 CR pistons with a a/f round 12.7 or so on a t3/t4b.

 

I think my timing for 12 lbs is around 22 degrees w/ an AF of like 11.3 (t3/t04e .57 trim).......stock 10:1 cr
12.7 is a little lean for boost, but with only 17 degrees and 8.8 cr you shouldn't have had any problems.....was it a mechanical failure? That turbo seems way to small for an 8.8:1 motor.....

Well piston number 1 gave out, but very peculiarly. It wasnt melted or anything.....it was as if the intake side of the piston was chipped off....like it was chiped down to the first ringland. No sign of detenation or anything....other pistons looked fine.

We're thinking injector failed but not sure as of yet....

Yea the turbo is pretty small, but i get about 405ft/lbs of tq and 375 whp with is more than enough for me. Its deffinitly starting to max out but its still within it;s limits id say....specifically it is a T3/T04B .63 A/R Turbine Housing Stage III Turbine, Standard T04B Compressor Housing V Trim Compressor Wheel (maybe) b super v...
