I never really noticed this but when I turn my car on the "Maint Reqd" light blinks exactly ten times after the car is on. Is my ecu throwing a code or something? or this daily normal activity for our cars?

 

your motor is going to blow sooon!!! take her in to the dealership and get it fixed asap.

 

it does that every some thousand miles. Maintenance required.

mine light was blinking but then it is on for good now. I havent had time to go to the dealership yet. I held the button for like 10 seconds and it didnt turn off? I held it while the car was running.

 

Yeah mine did that at 7,500 ........just bring it to the dearlership,or reset it yourself

 

Read your owners manual, you hold down the reset button under the right side of dash plastic on drivers side, i hit the button i think when the car was on and when it was off, i dunno it didn't work the first few times i pressed it but when i held it it reset..... fyi it comes on every 6,000 miles to remind you to get your oil changed before 7,500, if you leave it on for the 1,500 miles it goes to constant illumination
