Default b-series valve cover!

ok well i starte to play around with my stock valve cover last night and wanted to do something different with it. so i decided to first strip the paint off of it. well that was easy.

then i decided to clean it all up and make it look nice and clean on the inside as well. so i did. then after that i decided to shave off all the lettering on the whole thing. well that was the hard part. but it still only took me like 45mins. so well this is what i got so far.

now what i was wondering is what would you guys do with the rest of it. im takeing it over to a buddies house tonight and going to sand blast the whole thing nice and smoth. so that way all the imperfections are out of it. but im not sure of were to go from there. i was thinking maybe some mugen gold would look good on it. but then agian. not sure. let me here your guys idea and i will go from there. take in mind i have a 91 hatch that is a dark grey sort of a pewter color!

Forgive the horrible header thats on there. $$ was running low and the engine was shipped w/ no header.

Did this right after I got the engine in. Bay was cleaned up later, but dont have pics of it.

I went to my local Milwaukee Paint store and had them custom some high temp flat cammo colors. Just brought them cans of cammo paint of the shelf and they matched it. I think Kryon has a whole cammo line.

Then I took a manila divider (the kind you find in file folders) and cut out a squiggly line right down the center. I then laid the two separate pieces on the valve cover in different orientations to achieve different cammo patterns. Sprayed in 4 dif. colors and called it a day.

I used to have pictures up of the whole process but that was almost a year and a half ago...the thread was called "what IS Jake up to" there might be some more help in there.

Leave it shaved like that. You'll like it more then it being painted.

Share it with him man, secrets are gay.

When I did mine I think I used paint thinner or something.. no paint left at all.
