i have a 89 hatch, and i'm doing a B18A motor swap from a 93 integ, which i still have in my garage. i got someone to come and do the wiring, i got the motor mounts for my engine, but even with the rear mount moved over, the passenger, and drivers side mount won't line up okay... i did the fabrication to the frame for the distributor, but is there anything else i have to pound, cut, or add to make this motor fit in my damn car?? i'm about to put some C4 right next to the mounts and ignite them already!!! please help me out... thanks...

and..... i'm trynna put my 97 integ guage cluster in my 89 hatch, but i need some info before i do the fabrications, and wiring... peace!!

?

did you buy a b-series mount kit for EF?

you do mean you banged your frame in for your alternator right?

you cant use the stock 90-93 integra engine mounts in an ef...

yeah, i bought the place racing mounts for the ef b series swap, and i pounded the frame in by the alternator... i got the rear mount bolted in, but when i try to bolt the passenger mount in, it's like the whole motor is tilted foward a little, and the mount won't line up properly...

If anyone knows why i'm getting this problem... please help!!!

Try bolting it on in a different order?

Was the car in any type of accident that involved the front end of the car? If so, it could have thrown off the alignment of the mounts. Also, like it was mentioned, try bolting the motor in differently. I usually try to do the rear first, then the tranny, then the drivers side. I don't tighten the bolts until I get all the mounts in.

maybe that was my problem then... i was doing the rear mount, then drivers, then tranny... and i took the stock motor out with no problem, so i know the frame isn't warped or anything... Now i'm gonna try that order that you told me... thanks everybody!!

Anyone here from Hawaii or what?? hit me up if you know anyone that can shorten my shiftlinkage to fit my hatch, and the price?? peace!!

I'm in Hilo, what about Speed Gear or Endless Garage? Don't know how much they would charge though.
