*Model Specific / Shift **** Height Reduction / Throw Distance Reduction
Prelude n/a n/a
Accord 2 Door 20% 30 and 40%
Accord 4 Door 25% 35 and 45%

it doesnt seem like it makes any difference for the prelude
Hey guys. The exact throw and **** height reduction for the lude is roughly the same as the 2d Accord, I had forgotten to update that. There is quite a large difference from stock, as seen in the pictures below.
All shifters are powdercoated and come with the shown hardware.
It's a simple bolt-in unit that takes less than 30 minutes to install with no modifications needed.

Btw nice car xPRELDUEx. That entire thing looks really, really clean.

Nice, I was always told that a 'true' short shifter would not be possible on the 'lude but after seeing that one-it gives a bit of hope. How many cars have these been retrofitted on and what kind of price are we talking about here?

Is the 'shorter' shift from a shorter handle, or are there different mounting points for the cables?
Has anyone used this product personally?
I'm guessing lean just shortens the stock handle (ntpog style), and then welds on a ajustable bracket... Correct me if I'm wrong...
Not saying it doesn't work, but that seems to be how it was designed.

Yep, they are a real, or true short shifter. The **** height is shorter and the mounting points are moved up. The **** height is reduced about 20 percent and the shaft throw is about 30-40 percent shorter, depending on which hole you use.
When I first started working on this project I was looking to fabricate an entire shift assembly. That includes new levers, a new dual axis design, ball joints, plate, etc etc. The labor per unit, plus having to recoup all the development costs for such a thing, was silly, so I was looking for a more feasible approach. I considered using a 4th gen style base plate and short shifter, but I wanted something that would take only a few minutes to install and required no modifications to the car. That lead me to the current design. I use as many OE parts as possible to reduce the cost, that is passed along to you, and still have the cleanest and most reliable shifter possible. It makes no sense to replace parts that don’t need to be. In the end, it’s the least expensive for you that offers the highest quality and most simple solution.
Alphajesse, you're correct. I do lower the threads (unlike ntpog, I don't just rethread the shaft. A section is removed and the two pieces welded back together and ground flush. Looks like it was built that way!), attach on a new bracket and powdercoat the shaft. Exactly how that's done is what I take pride in. Total labor per unit is roughly two to two and a half hours. I’m extremely **** when it comes to little details and making sure every shifter is exactly the way I want it. My fabrication shop is extremely good at what they do. The going rate for quality fabrication is $40 to $65 an hour and $90 an hour for design. The shifter price is very competitive as well at $129 shipped with core. An 89 civic runs about $159, Evo 8 $189 and 240sx $299. All of those are just a lever too.
The lean shifter is a new product. A mod at SHO has one that he’s installing later this week. A few other people heard about my initial run somewhere and apparently just joined SHO to order it.
A hot red shaft powdercoating color is also available at no charge.

iam pretty sure that these arent legit. I so one of these on ebay with the same exact picture, but when i looked closely in the website, i notced that this one wasnt for the lude. instead it was for some other car. There was a picture of an adapter tucked in the corner of the website. Hope this helps.
When was this auction? Have a link? I only took those pics on Sunday, lol. I just dug up and old webcam and took this. Either I'm really good at photoshop or I'm the one who's legit. My ebay name is "blade-of-uo." I'm sure the mod at SHO, 5genlude, can vouch that the shifter I sent him is real.
You can also kind of see the carbon fiber shroud I put in front of my monitor. I can also stand on my head in front of the camera too if you like.

Yup! I also reduced the core charge to $29 today for a limited time. It's fully refunded once I receive your undamaged core within two weeks.
