Ok, here's some hands on experience I just had 2 nights ago. My friend and I both have DC5S's and his car has CAI, Underdrive pulleis(AEM I believe), Greddy evo cat back. I have AEM SRI, Lowering springs, comptech cat back, and yoko tires. When we raced, by the time I hit 3rd I had him by 3/4 of a car length and still pulling. We ran it back and the same out come. My friend said that the pullies were a bitch to put in. So, IMO get lowering spring over pullies. They cost about the same but you get more performance for your dollar. I don't think the pullies worth it, but that's just my $.02 worth. Hope it helped.

The pulleys aren't going to open up alot of hp. You will get some small hp gains but they do help with throtle response. I got the AEM ones, No complaints

I'm afraid I'm kinda confused as to what you're asking. Are you talking about the pulley that attaches down on the crankshaft(like the ones from Unorthodox Racing)? Or are you asking about the accessorie pulleys that attach to the power steering and alternator(like the AEM kit)? Either way they aren't going to gain you anything significant, the only plus side I see to it is that what you'll gain will be throughout probably the entire rev range, but still very little gained. Choice is up to you.
