What is wrong with my car? Dies intermittenly and won't start
I have an 89 Si hatch. The car dies without sputtering or anything, just shuts off. I've replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump is fine, its putting out plenty of pressure (fuel pressure guage) I really don't know what else to check, I assumed it was a fuel issue since it dies without skipping or anything. What else could be wrong with it? When it does run it runs great, but it won't run for more than a few minutes now. Help!
Check your grounds for starters, i had that problem once, cleaned up the grounds on my car and have not had a problem since.
sounds like the distributor going out? i just experienced the same thing. at a driving event the car was idling erraticly and then on the way home the car died and started and died. is the tach jumpy at any time?
i seriously doubt its the starter groud, it turns over, but won't run.
The tach isn't really jumpy, it may be the coil going bad though. I''ll double check the fuel pump and injectors tomorrow.

Check the Dizzy...if not
GROUND!
I've had more grounding issues with all of my 4th gens than any other problem.
