i have the opportunity to buy a 1995 GSR chassis...

here is the deal

3 years ago found on road dead..hwy patrol tells the auto shop to come get it...car sits for three years...

they pulled the valve cover and thats about it... manifold is ported for nitrous but it has long since been removed...

the car has seen weather...lots of it...the front seats are trashed..rears in great condition...door panelas are trashed but can be cleaded up

generic coilover sleeves and crome rims...

i have a feeling i can get the motor running, sounds like the timing belt went... it has ABS and full leather...dash is in great condition and the cluster reads 91k miles

no title...will be sold as a parts car... ill be using it for the drag strip and auto-cross only

600 dollars...is it worth it?

You would be a fool not to get it. If it is complete and not rusted.

That's a no-brainer.

 

You might even be able to re-title it. I know that in MD a shop can re-title the car and sell it as their's after a certain time. Its a process kinda like passing an act of congress but it can be done. I'd buy it and call around and find out.

my buddy just said that he knows almost positlvely that he can get a salvaged title...he knows some people in the DMV

Sounds like a good deal, pick it up before someone else does.

 

yeah definitely get it.

 

The shop can file a storage lein on it. Then when you buy the car you can have a clear title . I did it on a CRX a couple years ago. Just be careful that once they get a title they don't jack the price up on you . Larry
