need tire size advice
Ok, so I think Im gonna use the $ I got from my fender bender to get some rota slips 16x7 - something cheap and light for the track/auto-x.
Now comes the choice of getting tires - my first choice are Azenis in 215-45-16 (widest size available for a 16" wheel)
Next are Eagle F1 GS-D3s but Im having trouble deciding between 215-40-16 and the 225-50-16. On one hand the 215 will give me shorter gearing and less flex in the shorter sidewall, while the 225s will give me slightly taller geearing but a wider contact patch. I used this tire size calculator to compare:

Let me know what you guys think.

I think there you would suffer more than you would gain if you went with the 225/50, over the 215/45.
The Falkins are know as great auto-x tires and priced really well! I will be getting a set of 215 in the near future

I had a set of falkins- 205/55, or something close to that I think... Either way they were GREAT tires, except that I ran through them cause I got such good traction that I ended up abusing them...Launched on everybody
. Get them if you have will power...
