How to properly wire side markers
I'm trying to connect my side markers on my new ITR conversion. I am using the stock plug that was originally on the lower corner signals from the USDM Integra. The thing is when I plug them in, they don't blink when the turn signal is on. I tried a light tester, but I don't get any voltage going when the signal is blinking. When I turn the lights on, they light up. My buddy told me that his blink and light up, so is there something I may be missing here?
Thanks

That is correct.....
That is correct.....
not sure if i'm having the same problem he is... but i'm going to be wiring up side markers and this is what i want them to do:
blink normally when all lights are off during the day, blink inversely to the front blinkers when lights are on during the day...
so what i mean is, when the dual fillament bulb in my front signal is at the dim fillament, i want the side marker to be lit solid, when it changes to the bright fillament when signaling, i want the side marker to go off, and on when not signaling... does anybody understand what i'm trying to say or am i speaking retard?

I think I figured it out. I came up with this diagram based on a Bosch 5 pin style relay. This is how it basically works. When power is being fed to pin 30, then it will put power to either pin 87 or 87a. Which of those two pins it powers depends on whether or not pin 86 (the "on/off" switch) has power running to it or not. So if you hook up the second fillament's wire (for the bright flash) to pin 86, and re rout that output to the bulb from pin 87, it should do the job.
EDIT: ignore the "x" and the ">" on the circuit paths between pins 30 and 87/87a.
Red wires represent current flow, black wires represent no current flow.
Figure A: no power to pin 86 (switch off), pin 87a is lit
Figure B: power to pin 86 (switch on), pin 87 is lit

thats exactly what i did otherwise plug and play just left it on but had to tap into the signal lights in the front

you want the marker on all the time when you have your headlights on, but still blink right?
if so you can tap the instead of tapping the ground, and the signal wire, tap the power, and signal wires, no ground.
