Default Honda Civic DX 2002, coupe, HELP!!

Hi, i was wondering, with all of your experiences and knowledge, if you guys could help me on suggestions on how to make my Honda Civic run at least 13s... I know a lot of you guys will say K20 swap, but i was wondering if you guys had any other suggestions motor swap/mods other than K20? Cause i work on a hourly wage of 5.75 an hour, and it's tough to afford one you know? Please help me with suggestions. The only reason why I go to this website so much and subscribed as a member is because of your posts, Honda-Tech rules, and it's a privilege to get help from you guys.

if you are on a budget get a K20a3. that is the Civic Si motor or the RSX base motor. mate that with a supercharger or turbo charger and you should be there.

There are other solutions other than a K20 swap. That is, if you go turbo. There are 7th gen Civics running around with a Stafford Fabrications turbo kit running 13s. I believe there is an LX with alcohol injection that ran 13.6.

Don't forget though... I own a DX, not an EX, so turbocharging a DX is different power than compare to an EX... right? What is the price of a K20a3? And will the swap fit for my new generation civic? And what kind of turbocharger or supercharger would you suggest for without the swap? Cause i mean my engine is barely 115 hp... Prices please...

The guy at stafford is running the kit on an LX, same motor. Last update, he was eating clutches that are supposedly good for 275 ft-lbs. The potential is there, you just need to do it right.

Go with SF turbo.
My friend ran 13.6 with 19" wheels on rear.
01 Dx. 9psi.
Research around before you purchase anythnig.

Sell it and buy ef and throw a b18c5 in it. That will give your numbers. I am saying this b/c you are on a real budget and all these new motors cost cheese and the cars are new and there expensive. But if you really wanna keep your car though, build up a SOHC turbo.
