What is needed for wiring to do a B16 swap into a DX CRX?
u dont need the b16s harness, re wire your DX harness for multipoint fuel injection and use the sub harness meant for hf/si crx's (or civic si, u get my drift).
after that it should plug into the ecu given to u although dont quote me on saying thats all their is to it..

Wrong. You WILL need the wiring harness off the b16a, along with the DX harness. You will not use the actual b16a harness, but you will need to cut plugs off it (2nd 02, KS, vtec press., vtec sol., 4 injctor plugs, etc).
Besides the two harness', you will need a solder gun, solder wire, heat shielded wire, shrink wrap, heat gun, wire cutter, and strippers. Butt connectors are good to use before soldering to make sure everything is hooked up correct.
For the ECU, pick up alteast 10 extra pins to be on the safe side.

Also wrong! (well, not completely) :-)
You dont necessarily have to get a B16 harness. All the compatible plugs could be had from various usdm harnesses. Of course B16 one can be used as well, I just find it easier to get the other harnesses for cheaper.
Otherwise I agree with the above post.

About how long is the engine wiring harness? Where does it begin and where does it end? I got a 97 CX that I'm about to swap a b16 into on wednesday and I don't want to look like a tool. thanks
Engine wiring harness runs along your engine and plugs into the main harness on the firewall, in the area of strut towers. It plugs to the main harness on both sides - driver and passenger. you'll see big plugs with like 14 wires or more each. It might sometines also have a wire that goes into a fuse box.
