Thanks
naw homie i dont know, sure theres a few on site that do.....and if that files......check out somtin like http://www.google.com see if u can find out how to
damn thats old school, but i still remember how
its kind of hack the way u do it but here goes
i am no sure of the wire colors but i can check my notes at work tommorow , but this can get u prepared
1. on the display unit plug there is a thin green wire in there, u have to splice into this wire and solder the positive part of a rca(use a female piece or rca then u can just plug your source in) and the outer shield of the rca , just ground it
2. there is a wire on teh display unit that has to have 12volts or ground, i forget ( i can check tommorow) but in your wiring diagrahm it will be the guide control wire input ( its for the alpine nav, u cant really use the nav when doing it this way)
as i said i am not 100 percent sure on what power this needs but i think its 12volts, but ill check tommorow, anyways the way it works is before you turn teh cav 1000 on you have to supply power to that wire, and then whne u turn on the cva the screensaver will come on but then the picture will go blank, then u turn on your video source and it will come on
,
all your controls still work , just teh background goes blank, unless you have something playing.
as for audio thats a whole other **** lol, they used to have a module(i forget the part number) that uses the ainet cable and allows the 1000 to have an audio input
but another way you can do it is do the process i stated above and have your picture playing, then on your controls switch the source to navigation, on the brain there is a little din opening , take your audio output of whatever vid source you are using, and cut the rca plug off, take just the positive part of the rca and start poking it into the lower right side holes of the plug, its one of the lower 3 and audio will play and then just ground teh other part of the rca to the brain, and clean everything up and make sure the wire is hel into place on teh din plug with some nice tape and even a dab of hot glue under neath
damn too much typing, sticky this **** in your notes lol , if you dont understand what i just wrote, dont even try it lol send me your brain and wiring and i have a cva 1000 display here i can do everything for you for 50 bucks u pay shipping
