Just curious of how many Street Modifed cars on here.
The more and more reading that I do on this board the more that I would like to know who runs in what class, so if you run in SM post and say hi, I am just curious of who and what types of cars that I will run into the farther I travel to autox.
and yes I already know rodney runs SM and is the fastest hatch in the country, hopefully some day I could get a ride in that beast.

I'm in SM but my car is nowhere set up to the limit of the scca rules, as well It was never planned as such. It just landed there as soon as I did a FD. It's set up for DE's and I'm happy with it that way.
I can place and win locals and even possibly on a good day when my head ain't up my *** place at a regional but usually anything bigger than locals and the better drivers with well set up SM cars; SC'd or Turbo, M3's and the like just hand me my ***. I do it for fun and to learn so my ego doesn't really play a part.
Talk to my buddy Rodney, he has a very well set up NA SM civic hybrid, oh and he's a heck of a driver. That tends to help alot.

Yea I run in SM and I'm still trying to learn the ropes. I put ITR cams in my '99 Si and now I have to work alot harder to place. I don't mind though; helps when you push the limits more vs. being in SP and placeing all the time against locals

running a 89 civic si, until my old school celica is ready. the civic is set up for sts class. of course the SFR region is really tough with several M3's
cool, there re a lot of us SM'ers...
'92 cx, poor man's ITR swap (massaged B18C1), ITR tranny with ts 4.9 fd, GC's with 380F/450R, koni yellows, 19mm susp.techniques rear swaybar, stock Si front swaybar, full poly bushing kit, 13x7's with 235 45 13 kumho's, blah blah blah.
My car does extremely well (locally) against a flock of well prepped awd turbo DSM's and a barely streetable 5.0 fox body Mustang. For the most part the results depend upon which platform/setup that the course favors and who has the freshest R-compounds.
its HELLA fun y0!

I've been running SM for a couple of years. I guess if you're going to say Rodney has the fastest SM Honda, then I must have the 2nd fastest
. I placed just a few spots back from Rodney at Nationals last year. I've been making a lot of mods to my car this winter, so I'm ready for a re-match. I'm running one of the oldest cars I've seen in SM, a 1986 Civic.
