I bought one off of ebay form alterstart, I got the 135amp alt for 199 I think

Im running over 2k rms in amps and a LOT of accessories and my lights dim barely when I have everything running full steam

Check them out, I dont think any honda's are over 100 or close to it anyways

there's no honda I know of that's over 100A - perhaps a passport or some other larger vehicle.

rewinding a small alternator like a honda is a bit tricky...typically you lose idle ouput.

Yeah, but if you have so much draw that the cap can't charge, it won't make much of a difference.

A cap only helps for bursts of a fraction of a second. Even the high output alternators on police crown vics only put out 140. When it comes to Honda charging systems, factory will never do. It is one of the few areas of a Honda that aren't overbuilt.

that's because honda didn't think we would ever put mutli-kw amps in our cars.

best route is to at least get the alternator rebuilt or buy a new one. new one is going to be more expensive, but at least you'll have a peace of mind and more output throughout the RPM range.

i talked to some elecrician about rebuilding to get more power

he said i could get it up to 1`5 volts but the battery would boil, wtf
