okay seeing this trial member crap is dumb, I have to say something here. The only way that a CRX would beat the cobra is if it 1) was also a cobra 2) the cobra happened to be a matchbox car 3) the thing broke 4) some strange combination there of.

All FWD drive cars suffer from something i like to call "economy designed platforms". Ill explain. the transmission on a FWD is connected to the motor whcih moves alot. It is also connected to the axles which dont move. So, if you oh say run drag slicks (real ones, not those crapper sumitomo cheap jap rubber) @ 11 psi your tranny will go boom! Meanwwhile back a the ranch, the RWD drive cars are built differently. The transmission is not conencted in the same non-performance manner. And as such, you sont need to drop 4000+ to get your tranny to not suck. Also you can get more power from most RWD cars. A 1.4 (b14) 1.6 (b16) or 1.8 (b18) motor is not impressive. Actaully it is sad. I know a guy with a street legal mustang GT500 shelby w/ a all motor 600 cu. in. titanium block running high 6's. yes 6's not 16's, not the 1 before the 6. for those of you who dont know how to convert cu in into liters, it is a 9.3L mustang. now i know that is not even remotely fair to compare the honda to a mustang, but my point is why would you want tpo drop so much $$$ into a car that will not run 1/3 as well as a stang or a camero that cost 1/3 the price to tune. I know i dont have that much $$ around to waste.


Or better yet, there is an inline 6 diesel dodge truck i have seen that runs 10's with only a turbo. It is loud as hell but it is sweet! I even had two passengers and in ran 10's.

hmm did it ever occur to you that most people dont buy a honda to run 6's in the quarter mile? how about we take a drive in that 9.3 liter mustang up into some hills and ill follow in my civic. ill bet i can keep up with it and wont have to fill up to go back down.

try putting your straight line car on a track with turns, then compare it to a auto x crx that costs much much less and see what happens.

1. Cobras deserve respect. They do what they were designed to do very well.
2. But so does a CRX...so pick whichever one you prefer and waste as much time as you feel comfortable arguing which is better
3. If you're Mustang owner and trolling a Honda board you have some issues.

Representing both import and domestic camps is a genuine cross section of the general population. There are just as many idiots here that there are on a Ford forum.
