Default JDM header question?????

In Japan the Type R has 197 HP right? We have 195. Why does everyone go for the jdm header? 2 hp.... Does anyone have the DC jdm header. I am thinking about getting a new header and exhaust next week. I am confused because I hate to spend a lot of money for 4hp. Will any exhaust give the R a gain in Hp?
Will a hi flow cat help?

Why don't you look into Toda Spec A cams that everyone is talking about?

Assuming that you plan to spend about $1000 for header + exhaust, maybe the cams are the way to go. And, at a later time you can get JDM header + high flow cat. Stock exhaust should be good enough until you make in excess of 200 whp.

Just a thought.

i would say you the extar 2 HP out of the header, probably more. i felt a difference with my header and cat. i have no dyno to back up my claim, but i know there are some on the board. if you get the JDM 4-1 you will moslt likely have to get a high flow cat so it is modified to fit the 2.5 inch collector on the header.
contact carlex on this board he is who i got my header and cat from. its like 650 shipped http://www.import-specialists.com/hotdeals.php
