Parking lights and instument lights out on an 89 Accord LX
The other night instrument panel lights, and parking lights (front and rear) suddenly went out. I thought it was a fuse so I replaced the the two 15 amp fuses for the parking lights under the dash. That didn't help. The rear bulbs are good. I'm stumped. Is there a fuseable link or another fuse that could have gone out? The head lights, break lights, turn signals and flashers all work. Inside, the warning lights, (oil, brake, seat belt, and door/trunk open lights) work as well. I just see how fast I'm going at night and people can't see me from the back at night.
Any clues?
Other than just drive during daylight hours. ;-)
Thanks

this is a weird situation, check all fuses ,cuz years ago on my older [91]accord i was wiring up my radio and there went the lights and inst panel ,and it was a different fuse .also some cars hav 2 fuse boxes, one is a backup!!!and gooduck to u..
I removed and tested every fuse in the fuse box under the dash and the one under the hood. All the fuses were good. Now I'm wondering if the dimmer switch for the dash could be the culprit. I don't know of any fusable links for the parking and dash lights.
I'm about to give up and take it to a shop.

I'm tending to think that there is a common circuit that both dash lights and parkings/tag lights go through. Since they both went out at the same moment. The battery seems to be fine and the alternator keeps the battery charged just fine.
