Default Accord Performance Advice

I am thinking about getting a chip and/or niitrous for my 94 accord...I was wondering what everyone thought about the two ideas...One over the other??? How would i benefit from either??? Where are the best prices??? Will I damage my engine??? I want speed...Im also planning on getting exhaust and cold air intake before I add the chip and/or nitrous...PLEASE HELP ME OUT!
Thanks

A chip won't do much for an otherwise stock motor with bolt-ons. I dislike NOS, but it is the cheapest HP per dollar you can get.

if you have the money, i'd say go with the h22a swap first. but like 4ddorH22 stated, you get more bang for the buck with NOS.

and in the end you'll have the h22a running with a 100 shot direct port nitrous setup plus your standard bolt ons.... no one will mess with you then.. dreams dreams dreams.

yeah i agree with some of you guys. go with the H22A swap, it'll be the best bet i think.
NOS is good, its a cheap way to go fast, but it works great. one of my friend has a 92 accord with an h22a, and on top of that he had a 100 shot of nos. he hit 13.0 at palmdale, CA. which is really fast for a accord.
so check out your opitions and see what fits you the best.

When executed properly, Accords are the true sleepers. No one expects an Accord to be fast.

I am with HA... I will not use NOS either, but it will get you going pretty fast. as far as cheap mods (cheaper than H22a), I say AEM CAI, DC 4-2-1 Header, Greddy EVO exhaust (I have all 3 of those ), a chip will not do very much for you, just reset your ecu. if you have an auto, the venom 400 might help, but if you have a stick, the Gude head job will help you get into the 15s. it puts about 30hp to the wheels. H22a is your best bet... just save up, because even if you get nos and I/H/E, you might still prob wont be able to beat a H22a Accord. and it will cost you just as much.

i would go NOS. but make sure you get a nice setup so it'll be safe to hit those big shot of nos. the reason i say go with nos is because is the cheap way to go fast. if you get all the bolt ons you probably won't feel as much as nos. if you get a simple 50 shot its going to feel way better than the i/h/e

nos would least your motor for a while, i'm talking about 1-2 years, but this is if you nos the car like almost every weekend at the street races.
well if you just use it once a while is not bad for the car, but if you go big shot, and every weekend for the races it'll probably mess up your piston rings in the long run.
Note: way too much NOS and too high of rev without tuning.... could burn up your vavles also.

I have been running nitrous on my car for about 2 years now. If you are planning on using nitrous, I suggest doing some research first. Nitrous is an excellent power adder, but when used incorrectly can really harm the motor. If you stick with a 55 shot you will be just fine though. I would recommend the ZEX kit to anyone just starting to experiment with nitrous. It is by far the easiest to install, and is one of the most idiot proof kit available. You will need no other modificatiosn to your stock motor if running this kit at a 55 shot.

How do you like the Greddy Evo exhaust?

Also how does it compare to the APEXi WS? The reason I ask is b/c they are the only exhausts that are made for my car.

I love the Greddy EVO! just about everyone says that it is one of the best sounding exhausts they have heard. it is not too loud, and not too quiet. It is more deep than a lot of exhausts that I hear, and that is why I like it. If I had to get an exhaust again, I would go with the EVO.

As far as the I/H/E, I can feel the pull. the intake and exhaust helped the top end, and the headers are 4-2-1 which helps mid range, so the car is always fun to drive as opposed to having nos where it is only fun to drive on the weekends. The VAFC helped also, I like it a lot, and it looks cool as hell

As much as I love Hondas, I've never heard a Honda exhaust that would make me cream my pants. That honor belongs to late model M3s and Supras... I guess it's an inline six thing.

HaHa...
Well I'd definately prefer the...BBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...
WAAAAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...or BRUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMM... AS OPPOSED TO THE NNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE(High Pitched Fart)....HAHAHA....
Also Im still debating on the header part...Im definately getting the CAI and the Exhaust...Im possibly thinking ApexI dunk though...Then getting the NOS 50 shot...Im looking for sound in the exhaust like the bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrr...bruuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmm...and the whaahhhaaaaaaaa... then I figured the NOS would give me the speed...Ya Know???
Well see....What do ya think about that??????

No you do not have to get a header (it's singular), but it would be good for your engine's exhalation since NOS makes your engine intake and output a lot of gas.

Oh sorry I don't know. I have no experience with NOS nor do I know anyone that uses it.
