All wheel Drive EF
How hard would it be to mate an all wheel drive setup from a wagon to a 88-91 civic hatch or CRX...just curious and has anybody done this before? **** would be dope....
I believe this would be the car you are referring to. Enjoy

No hijackin here, just seen this b4 and it should ba a FAQ somewhere by now.
This question comes up like every month, and I've asked it b4 too.

I have a 99crv and a 90 RT4wd wagon and IMO they're not built 4 performance.
Just like Targa250r said its a part time system...its not as strong as a DSM setup
& I'm sure you've heard stories bout those.
siksohccivic, good 2 see someone else whos done this do you have pics?
How reliable has it been for ya.
Sorry to say but I'm goin to a cable Si hybrid(gear) tranny soon & ditchin my awd autobox & drivetrain to save weight.
Contrary to popular belief my 90rt4wd has not taken a dump on me, its pretty rock solid @ the current HP and 7500k gearshifts daily but I plan on 200+hp boosted by summer and truth be known it was never designed to handle that.

And yes, michaelOlsen is correct the Integra HondaTuning built using the CRV drivetrain experienced mechanical failure but IMO they expected too much too soon and should Never have been doin 4-5k clutch drops in sand for the photo op.
They expected too much too soon and got overzealous.

1 guy I knew with a 1st gen dsm did a 6k clutch drop on a rainy day and POP.
AWD DOA
Too much power too fast on a stock system.John Sheppard has a welded center diff in his 8 sec talon
and I don't have that kinda $$$$.
BTW, I have a honda civic wagon board where we discuss this and many other
topics in more detail, you're welcome to stop in anytime. All makes and models are welcome....check the sig, its the Evolution board.

Well its stronger than a honda realtime setup from a civic wagon or a CRV (I own both) so -no-its not a double negative. Remember the context of this discussion. As far as John Sheppard goes 8 seconds sez it all, I've seen him run and he has had consisitent runs with that setup.
