Default INSTALLING AEBS TYPHOON INTAKE / QUESTION

I have a 89 crx JDM b16a swap. Installing a aebs typhoon manifold. I noticed that there is no location for the FITV . IS it needed or should i just leave it out ? also if i leave it out what do I do with the 2 coolant lines going to it ? ! more thing does anyone have the torque specs for Intake manifold ?

This is what I was told about the AEBS:
it fits perfect. You will need extra hose to reroute a vacum and pvc line. Get a new tb and intake manifold gasket.

From what I have read, and seen dyno charts of. It makes a lot of low end power and mid range. Honda's don't need anymore high end so its no biggy. But, I hope that helps in some way!

1st gen B16's have the FITV on the manifold. 2nd gen and up B16's have a slightly larger throttle body with the FITV mounted on it. You'll also probably need a 2nd gen fuel rail, as you'll have issues with the IAT sensor interfering with it.

Let us know how it goes, I'm probably gonna do one on my car soon.

Thanks for the replys, I will post some pictures up when the job is all done ! I know it does not have any hole on the side of the manifold for mounting the FITV, i read that a lot of people just bypass it on their cars anyway. So when i install the manifold what do i do with the left over coolant lines that used to go to the FITV ? do i just plug em up or just run a longer hose right from the inlet to outlet ?

I've had one on my car for about 3 months, midrange response has been much better. On my boosted b16 I could tell a BIG difference. I bypassed the FITV and the IACV lines .

I got my info here and I have had no problems.

personally i beleive the aebs looks a hell of a lot better, and on top of it all the typhoon manifold supposedly puts out more Horse power than a skunk2 . and is $100 cheaper !!

type in a search. i found lots of posts with dyno sheets, it has been proven over and over again. What it comes down to is what you are running along with the manifold. Of corse you will get more Hp out of it with a turbo.ECT.

All skunk2 is, is a fancy Type-R mani, that will give you no power. There is a dyno on honda-tech that shows the AEBS beating a ported Type-R mani. I think you would be stupid if you don't get a AEBS. Plus there a lot easier to put on than any other aftermarket mani. Do a search there is a dyno I just saw it the other day. Your wasting your cash on Skunk2. Give me the extra money if your going to buy that crap.

ok well i may reconsider its just that alot of people have been telling me both sides of the story! not sure what im going to do yet. but i will do it some time.

also do you have to get a new throtle body if you are useing this manifold on a obd0 b16a since the tps is in a different location? or is it just the IAVC

I'd like to know that too, do we have to replace the TB? I don't wanna lose my TB. I'm running a OBD0 first Gen B16. my TB has been bored out, it would suck to have to replace it.
I was also wondering, if you eliminate the FITV, wouldn't your car idle to sheit? I have to fiddle with mine cause my idle was way off. I had to screw in that cream colored screw inside the FITV.
thanks
