I am currently in the market for an NSX. I have some money to play around with but not too much. Right now Im looking to buy a 98. Ive seen these go for 40-46k. The reason I like the 98's is because they were the first year to have the 3.2, 6 speed, and targa top at the same time. Please correct me if Im wrong. Would it really be that big of a difference if I got a 96 with a 3.0 and 5 speed? Any comments welcome. Thanx.

You're wrong. As noted in the Changes by Year section of the NSX FAQ.

Is it significantly different? Yes. Is it worth the extra cost? That depends on your priorities and finances.
