To be honest I havent spent a ton of time comparison shopping, but thats mostly because I dont have any knowledge of aftermarket seats.

The original drivers seat in my crx is coming apart on the side bolster where i think most of them first show wear. u can see the same spot starting to thin on the passenger seat also.

basically i can do two things.
1- I used to work at a shop that installs leather interiors and sunroofs, so for pretty cheap i can have them reupholster my stock crx seats. downside is i really dont like leather, i dont wanna worry about someone damaging it, gets hot in the sun, makes noise, etc.

2- I get some aftermarket seats. I could even just the driver-side aftermarket since the passenger side is still totally intact.

Does anyone on here have aftermarket seats? sparco, bride, etc?
i really dont care if theyre name brand, just want to replace what i have now.
who has good prices on them? anyone local to the ny, long island area? shipping is a bitch with them.

does the shop just do leather? cause im sure u could have the crx stock seats reupholstered in something more reasonable, material like they use for aftermarket seats. just a thought... IMO, nothing beats crx si seats if its ur daily driver/racer.

 

tenzo make some real nice aftermarket seats for around 500 a set with sliders and brackets

 

3. free! swap out your driver's side seat for the passenger side seat. it should be interchangeable if i'm not mistaken , just need to change the rails.

of course you could always get an aftermarket seats if you got money to spend. check with them.

hey if ya dont have the money you can get a pair of 1st gen prelude seats, i have a pair of si seats and they hold just as good as racing seats, more comfortable actully. they just dont have the harness spots like racing seats
