Default Crush Bent OK for My application?

Im looking too duplicate the rsr GT2 exhaust.I already have the muffler and highflow cat sitting in my room.I called around different muffler shops today and none of them do mandrel bent.I was wondering do you think it will be ok too have crush bent considering im going too only have one bend in the exhaust?Im even going too print out a picture from the rsr site and show it too the builder.Think its really worth spending more for 1 bend???

Well, I don't think you are making mad amounts of power with what I have gathered. Crush bent is fine. You probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

^^^ The way an angled exhaust should be, for the least amount of backpressure possible.

But if you're looking for the least backpressure possible, any bottleneck will be a problem, and any crush bend will definitely be a bottleneck.

I just cant see it holding back much pressure from 1 bend...Besides it should be very good flowing. But maybe i will just buy the 1 bend.Cant i pick them up at local auto parts too??

will an exhaust even fit like that under our cars. Why else woudl the stock exhaust, and all aftermarket exhaust piping have all those bends. If it just went straight back with that one bend it would be so low to the ground you would scrape on everything. Im guna check this out tomorrow how much clearance we have, and it also has to go over the axle doesn't it. If it went under, and your car is lowered, youll scrape on everything. But Ill check it out tomorrow.

an exhaust like that would fit on an integra but you would be left with very little ground clearance

looks like it's mounted the same on an integra (by RS-R)

you can see the outline of the piping better here:

I've always been a fan of the philosophy that you should always get the best when able. Being that crush bent piping isn't the best, and mandrel bent piping isn't terribly expensive, I'd go ahead and step up.

Yeah your not really saving a ton of $$ by going with the crushed bent. If you werent worried about having crush bent I dont think you would have made this thread in the first place. so your instinct I think tells you to do it right and get the mandrel.

Why not talk to Kteller and get some nice Mandrel piping from him, he has great service and super prices.

It comes down to preference but I treat my car like I would a sister, she deserves only the best
