Default Removing Axle from ATTS unit

Before i really start pushing and beating on this thing I just want to make sure the axle is only held into the atts unit with a snap ring. Just like a normal axle is held into the tranny. This is in a 97 Prelude SH. Thanks!

correct. just remember as with any axle removal you will want to pry from both sides. it will make it much easier.

oh and dont forget to drain the fluid.

Ya, I finally got the thing out. The problem was that I couldn't get a prybar in both sides because of the shape of the atts housing. Solution was pushing with a prybar on one side and tapping it with a mallet to get the ring to release.

Got the motor out. Now I just need to get it torn down and sent to my machinist.
