I have the option of buying a 2nd gen CRX w/ DOHC ZC swap for 800 dollers. The catch is the 6 puck clutch it had ate 2nd/3rd gear and they now grind , so it would need a less agressive clutch and the 2 gears fixed. It comes with a rebuilt ZC head , the car has slight body damage but it comes with the replacment panel. Do you think its worth it and what would it run to get the tranny fixed , id do the clutch job myself. Thanks!

 

Go to a junk yard and get a tranny. They dont cost that much for a ZC tranny. Thats a real good price for the car.

heavier clutches can cause premature thrust bearing wear.

 

Sounds like a good deal to me if the motor is solid.
